Public reporting of cardiac surgery performance: introduction.

چکیده
Cardiac surgery has been at the forefront of healthcare quality measurement and improvement for ore than 2 decades. The Society of Thoracic Surgeons STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery Database was introduced in 989 and now enrolls patients from approximately 95% of ardiac surgery programs in the United States. Robust eneral thoracic and congenital cardiac surgery dataases have also been developed and implemented.
